What belongs into the Artisan Craft galleries?
Tangible craft work created by the artist for utilitarian use, such as leather working, woodworking, glass-blowing, doll-making, metalwork, pottery making, textiles, etc.
Only the tangible finished product --no designs, patterns, charts, graphs, or tutorials-- all of which go to Resources & Images > Tutorials > Artisan Crafts
Only products made by the deviant themselves, no items made by someone else! Those belong into the Photography galleries.The Categories

ARCHITECTURAL MODELS
Finished tangible architectural models or architectural constructs made by you, such as models, handmade awnings, patios, decks, and buildings & shelter. No drawn or rendered work is allowed. Not for drawn or rendered work. Custom cabinetry should go into woodworking.

BASKETRY & WEAVINGS
Anything woven, whether by hand or on a loom; baskets and other woven reed creations; dreamcatchers; other woven art. Knitted and crocheted crafts belong in the textiles gallery under and appropriate sub-category such as clothing or accessories.

CERAMICS, POTTERY & CLAY
Works using mediums, such as clay, ceramic, synthetic sculpting compounds, papier-mache, sand, etc.

Miniatures
Hand-crafted miniatures including figurines, doll house furniture etc.

Miscellaneous
Miscellaneous ceramics that do not fit into any other sub-category.

Ornaments & Object
Ornaments, baubles and other objects made out of ceramics or clay.

Pots & Vases
Pots, vases or other kinds of vessels.

Tableware
Tableware, such as dishes, cups, glasses, flatware, etc.

COSTUMERY
Costume garments, props, masks, and accessories made to portray a character, animal, or object and include historical re-enactment, period, cosplay, fantasy, LARPing, etc.

Costumes
Garments made to portray a character, animal (including both full and partial fur suits), or object and made of either textiles or non-textiles or combination of both.

Cosplay & Fantasy
Costumes made for the purpose of cosplay or fantasy role-playing.

Miscellaneous
Costumes that don't fall into the aforementioned categories.

Period & Historical
Costumes made to portray a specific historical period or time.

Theatrical
Costumes made for the purpose of theatrical productions.

Masks
Masks that are made from any material.

Props & Accessories
Items that are not garments but accessorize garments or serve as props for the costume. Eg. handbags, gloves, swords, wands etc.

CULINARY ARTS
Edible art; food and drink presented as art that is purely edible or is enhanced with non-edible objects.

Desserts
Desserts that encompass cake, candy, pie, pastries, fruit, pudding, ice cream, cookies, or any other food served as the final course of a meal.

Food Art

Main Dishes
Main dishes include anything served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as the main course of the meal.

Miscellaneous
Featuring edible food that fits no other sub-category such as ice sculptures, beverages, bread, side dishes, appetizers/canapes/hors d'oeuvres, etc.

Pumpkin Carving
Photographs of personally carved or decorated pumpkins.

DOLLS, PLUSHIES & CUSTOM TOYS
Hard-bodied and soft-bodied original dolls;customized purchased dolls and ball-jointed dolls(BJDs); plushies; customized My Little Ponies (MLPs); customized purchased figured (action figures, munnys, dunnys, etc.). Dolls made from either pre-made based or completely custom dolls of porcelain, plastic, etc.

Customized Toys
Customized purchased dolls and ball-jointed dolls (BJDs), including hair re-rooting, re-paints, sculpting etc. Customized My Little Ponies (MLPs), customized action figures and other customized toys, such as Munnys.

Original Artist Dolls
Dolls made wholly from scratch by the artist, including hard-bodied dolls that are made of porcelain, hard vinyl or plastic, synthetic sculpting compounds and soft-bodied dolls that are cloth-bodied, needle felted, soft vinyl, etc. and which may or may not contain an armature.

Plushies
Stuffed figures made by sewing a textile body and then stuffing to create a 3D shape. They don't usually have an armature or other such features normally attributed to dolls.

FOLDING & PAPERCRAFT
The art of folding and cutting paper to create objects of a 3D nature such as origami, dioramas, and other art work.

Bookbinding & Bookmaking
Bookbinding & bookmaking is the process of physically assembling a book from a number of folded or unfolded sheets of paper or other material.

Cubeecraft
Cubeecraft is the art of creating a template that can be printed, cut and folded into a toy without the use of glue.

Miscellaneous
Miscellaneous folding & papercraft that do not fit into any other sub-category.

Origami
Origami is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. The goal of this art is to create a representation of an object using geometric folds and crease patterns preferably without gluing or cutting the paper, and using only one piece of paper.

Papercutting & Scherenschnitte
Papercutting & Scherenschnitte is the art of papercutting design. The art work often has symmetry within the design, and common forms include silhouettes, valentines, and love letters.

GLASS
Works using glass as the medium, whether by using a furnace, kiln, torch, acid, or abrasive and polishing methods, including heat-worked furnace and blown glass, fused glass, slumped glass, lampworking and cold-worked glass (etching, carving, cutting, sanding, grinding, sawing, laminating, faceting, etc.), stained glass, painted glass, pate de verre, enameling, molding, etc.

Bowls & Vases
Bowls, vases, or other kinds of vessels made of glass.

Lights & Prisms
Lights, prisms, and other kinds of sculpture that makes use of active light such as a candle, light-bulb or sunlight.

Ornaments & Objects
Ornaments, baubles, and miscellaneous curio made out of glass.

Stained Glass
Glass that has been coloured in any of various ways, as by fusing with a film of metallic oxide or burning pigment into the surface.

Tableware
Tableware, such as dishes, glasses, stemware, bottles, cups, plates, flasks, flatware, etc., and vases and other vessels.

JEWELRY
All types of jewelry regardless of medium, and includes rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, charms, keychains, hair accessories (such as barrettes, haircombs, tiaras, crowns, etc.), body piercings jewelry, etc.

LEATHERWORK
Leatherworking using leather, suede, faux leather, or fur as a medium and including stamped flat pieces like belts to meticulously shape and stitch objects such as sandals, saddles, bags, clothing, chaps, etc.

Accessories
Accessories crafted from leather, suede, faux leather etc.

Clothing
Clothing crafted from leather, suede, faux leather etc.

Miscellaneous
Miscellaneous leatherwork that does not fit into any other sub-category.

Taxidermy
Any taxidermy mount, whether hard-foam mout or soft-mount/poseable taxidermy, using whole or partial skins, hides, pelts or fur.

METALWORK
Metal work involving the use of heat, including all blades, such as knives, swords, cutlery, etc. blacksmithing; and any kind of metal forming without the use of heat, which would include repousse/chasing/embossing and engraving; also chain mail and armor.

MISCELLANEOUS
Miscellaneous Artisan Crafts that do not suit any other subcategory.

TEXTILES
Art created by using fabric and natural woven materials including fashion/costume construction and hairpieces like wigs and falls.

Accessories
Clothing items that are not garments, but that accessorize garments, such as handbags, gloves, mittens, hats, wigs, socks, modified shots and boots etc.

Clothing
General everyday garments including, skirts, shirts, pants, dresses, jackets, coats, underwear/lingerie, made mostly of a textile medium.

Fiber Art
General artwork created with textiles through the application of paints, dyes, stitching, and/or other fabric manipulations, such as embroidered wall-hangings, hand-painted panels, tapestries, etc., and anything else that does not fall into other more suitable subcategories.

Miscellaneous
Any art involving textiles that doesn't fall into another more suitable subcategory.

Quilting
Blankets, panels etc, made by sewing batting between two layers of pieced or un-pieced fabric. Quilted clothing and accessories should go to their respective sub-categories in the textiles gallery.

WOODWORKING
Artisan crafts created using wood as a medium and can include carvings, turnings, constructs (such as furniture, decks, wood patios, wood-frame buildings and other shelters, etc.), pyrography, marquetry/intarsia etc.
