CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 4, 2008, 4:20 AM

CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST

There are no doubts left for our Christmas in August themed gift swap - it's going to be a Surprise in a Box one :boogie:

IMPORTANT DATES AND GUIDELINES:

:bulletred: send us a note saying you want to participate - do it by June 8th
:bulletred: please include your name and address in the note

:bulletred: start working on your box now

:bulletblue: on the 9th of June I'll make pairs and send each of the participants the address of their giftee

When you will know who will be getting your present please do some research on their deviant page and find out what kind of things they are into, what do they like, dislike so you will get an idea about what to put INTO the box to make them happy.

:bulletpurple: MAKE THE GIFT IN JUNE AND JULY!

As we will be sending out the boxes by slow mail don't make them too big or too small. I think something between 10x10x10cm and 20x20x20cm (4x4x4 inch - 8x8x8 inch) should be just fine.

:bulletred: Take a photo of your box. Don't forget to do it. Really!

:bulletpurple: SEND THE GIFT IN AUGUST!

As we are calling this Christmas in August I would like you to receive your gifts in August! Which means you can start sending in the end of July or in the last week of August just please... bare in mind it would be really nice if your pair receives the gift in August.

There is plenty of time here. You can start making the boxes now and the gifts to put in later. You can send them away sooner - meaning before you go for your vacations - or later - when you return from them. You can even have everything ready by the end of June and just wait on August to send.

Keep your promise

If you decide to enter please stick with it. Don't enter if you think you won't make it as it will leave somebody empty handed.

CONTEST for the Grand Finale

To spice things up I decided to make a contest out of this.

In the beginning of September, when everybody receives their presents, I would like you to submit your boxes in your galleries and send us a note with the link to the deviation. All boxes will be featured in our Journal and we will choose the best one. The winner will receive 1 month subscription to DA from me.

Should anyone else like to donate other prizes let me know.
